5 No-Nos of Applying Foundation

I’ve said before, that I suffered from a major case of acne when I was younger so I am pretty careful about the foundation (type and amount!) that I use. What I am looking for is a medium coverage that feels and looks like a light coverage.  ISn’t that what we all want?  Great skin that doesn’t look like it is painted on or that there is too much being hidden.  I have found that there are ways to achieve this and I will tell you how :)

I disagree with the concealer and foundation part. The majority of professional makeup artists and all the women I know always use foundation and concealer. You just have to use the right techniques to make it not look cakey.

I agree. I have never heard of anyone suggesting to do either-or when it comes to foundation and concealer. It makes no sense. Its about the application and amount of each product you put on. You can use foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter, blush and still look natural.

I use mineral foundation that is powdered, and all you need is a good setting spray and it doesn’t fall off!

Also, your skin absorbs liquid foundation, so all of those ingredients that are toxic are absorbed into your body.

Exactly. I use powdered foundation, set it with spray, and I don’t have to reapply it during the day. I have super oily skin, but it never shines through. So I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing hahah

I also have super oily skin and have struggled finding a good foundation. Do you mind sharing which one you use?
